Castle Community Partnership

Castle Community Office is a project managed by Castle Community Partnership, a not-for-profit constituted group that is in the process of becoming a registered charity at which time it will become Castle Community Network.

The majority of the Partnership’s trustees are local residents and/or are actively involved in regeneration activities in Castle Ward, either in a paid or voluntary capacity.

Members of Castle Community Partnership meet twice a year to share information on projects relating to Castle Ward including housing, youth provision and health.

The Partnership networks with a broad range of agencies to share knowledge and experience and to find ways of joint working that address social issues.  It is hoped that by sharing skills and resources good progress will be made with regeneration activities in Castle Ward without duplication of research or projects.

 

In 2008 Castle Community Partnership received the Duke of York’s Community Initiative Award ‘in recognition of best practice in community enterprise and leadership’.
