Last Friday of each month, 12.30 – 1.30pm

The Police provide a regular drop-in at the Community Office with the aim of focusing on local priorities and to reduce crime and disorder in Castle Ward by working with the community to address any issues that arise.  The Office also has forms to fill in to help identify any issues. These can be posted in a box at the Office entrance which is checked regularly by staff and police.

The following are examples of assistance available during drop-ins:

Anti-social behaviour issues that affect your quality of life including   nuisance neighbours, rowdy behaviour, vandalism, drug dealing and street drinking.  Please do not suffer in silence.

Personal crime reduction, including household and property - this can include a crime prevention check of your property if requested

Security marking such as UV pens and smart water

Bogus callers and travelling salesmen - how to determine if somebody is genuine and your rights when somebody calls at your door uninvited

Personal safety and identity theft

Vehicle crime prevention including arranging the post-coding of bicycles and a registration logbook to complete so that the bicycle is easier to identify if lost or stolen

Information on all Neighbourhood Watch schemes currently running in the area or assistance with how to set a Neighbourhood Watch scheme up.
